Sounds like you do what I do... look for people with the same problems! It's so frustrating when someone says they have the exact same problem you do, and when you look to see if someone answered that person, there's either no reply or just someone saying "you're in the wrong forum"...

Oh man, I was about to post exactly the same thing. Forum guys: if you post saying that the question isn't going to be answered there, it doesn't mean that people won't still turn up there looking for answers.

Oh I know - I posted numerous questions with no repy, so I went hunting. Luckily other people have had similar peoblems I could read off of. My old Mac is still intermittant, but at least it's sending out signal to the house for our laptop so we have internet again...good enough for now. I can fiddle a bit later.
