When using a pressure washer for the first time, instead of cursing the machine for being a piece of crap that doesn't work well, try turning the power on to the outlet feeding the washer. It's amazing how things work so much better when they are actually plugged in.
This is why I don't have power tools...

And yet I would argue it's the mistakes that you make with power tools that are plugged in you have to worry about.
