Thought for a rainy day

"Every corner, every facet of your mind must be programmed by you.
If you do not, the world will program it for you..."

The Crystal Method... I was supposed to interview them in 1997 but they never showed up. Ended up interviewing Richard James. (Aphex Twin) The Universal Rep, it seemed to me, was trying to prevent me from interviewing James because he was represented by Warner.
CM did do interviews the next day but I had other things to do. To be honest, I wasn't crazy about them.

Their music is a thing of preference I think, but they do some good DJ mixes (Community Service 1 & 2). The albums by them I like are these mixed albums where they take other songs and make one long set. J is more a fan of their original music but it's a bit too techy for me...
I think interviewing Aphex Twin would be more interesting anyways....

The house DJ for that show was Luke Vibert, aka DJ Wagon Christ. He mixed three sets and was mixing with James on the third set leading into the Aphex Twin show. Richard James was an interesting interview for sure. he didn't say much on the subject but he definitely was not too enthused about CM.
