I'm done!
I am so completely done with the bathroom. And so for your enjoyment (assuming that you may actually care!! :) ) are before and ater pics. Now I didn't try and make the before pics crappy - I'm just a lousy photographer....
Before...
And...after - Tadaaaa!
See? Much better.
I know I know, I'm probably the only one reading this, but hey....*I* think it's cool!

Don't you find the cat on the lid of the toilet seat makes it a bit hard to open? I have trouble enough with toilet seat carpeting that causes the seat to fall down halfway through, and then I, like, turn away to avoid hitting the seat but wind up peeing all over the shower curtain....
Don't tell my sister.
Oh, and the floor seems a bit out of place now, at least from the pictures. Planning on doing anything about that?
Smartass...the cat does come off if you bribe him with food. It's just Geek's favorite place to sleep for some reason...
Well, I've toyed with the whole peel and stick tile thing to cover the wood floor (I'd love ceramic tile actually but I have no clue how) but this fixup was a "make Heather happy until we can gut the place and redo it all" fixup...our tub still sucks and I've got to get a curtain to cover up the window in the shower. I want a soaker tub badly... We put in peel stick tile in the apartment bathroom and I somehow screwed it up because they kept coming off, especially near the radiator...I'll have to figure out how to do it now before I do it. While it's bit out of place now, the wood flooring is all over the house (bedrooms, kitchen basement) so on an overall way it's not too bad. I don't like it in the bathroom myself, but I don't quite know what to do about it. Any ideas??
I'm not a big fan of peal and stick. Put a little away each month and go for tile. Tile is cool. Cold, sometime, but if you put away enough, you could go for heated tile.
Don't do this until you get your new tub in, though.
Our bathroom is also in need of a reno; we did the same (slap some paint on, purdy it up a bit), but I'd like a better tub, and the layout sucks, like, why is half the room taken up with the counter with two sinks? But if we lost that space, what would we do with all the stuff underneath? And if we put in a big tub, we'd need to move the toilet, and and...
It goes on and on.
i think that your bathroom is nice!
